Be introduced to the basic components of computers and the Internet.  Learn basic computer terminology, an overview of operating systems, and popular software applications, ways to connect to the Internet, services available on the Internet and be secure when on the Internet.

 Learn Basic Mandarin Chinese in this 7-session introduction.  No prior Chinese language experience is required.   Learn using the Mango Language Database on the New York Public Library website (http://www.nypl.org/collections/articles-databases). 

First session: Orientation to the Mango Program; and sessions 2-7, the native speaking instructor reinforces and practices material covered in the Mango program. Accurate pronunciation is emphasized.  Tuesdays, September 14th – October 26th, 2010 - 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
